Strong and vigilant malware protection is a must-have these days for any business or individual that uses email, the Internet, or any other electronic means of exchanging data – or, in other words: ALL OF US. Such tools, including virus protection, anti-malware tools, and firewalls, can knock down most threats with impressive reliability – assuming they’re updated and properly configured to protect each exposed component in your system.
However, even the most sophisticated, updated, and rigorous tools can only provide so much protection. Ultimately, the end-user is the last line of defense against threats that make it through your electronic barriers. AllMeds instructs its employees to maintain a heightened sense of awareness and to exercise extreme caution when using all electronic resources – and, we encourage you to do the same thing.
We’ve created a handy poster of end-user Best Practices that is posted in AllMeds’ offices and thought it might be useful for your own security efforts. Pass the tips below to your own users and encourage them to be careful doing ANYTHING online – and to immediately alert your IT team at the first sign of anything suspicious!
